A note from our commander
Commander's Welcome
To our community, Legion family, and fellow veterans,
It is with great honor and humility that I accept the role of Commander of American Legion Post 47. I
am grateful for the trust placed in me, and I look forward to serving alongside such a dedicated and
passionate group of individuals.
Our Post has long stood as a pillar of support for veterans, their families, and the youth of our
community. As Commander, my goal is to build on that strong foundation by bringing our Legion
Family—The American Legion, Auxiliary, and Sons of the American Legion—closer together than ever
before. United, we are stronger, more effective, and better able to fulfill our mission.
I am committed to expanding our outreach and strengthening our support for veterans—ensuring they
have access to the resources, respect, and care they have earned through their service. We will also
continue to stand by their families, recognizing the sacrifices they make every day.
Equally important is our investment in the future. Through programs that support and mentor our youth,
we will work to instill the values of leadership, citizenship, and service that define our organization.
I invite members of our community to join us—whether through volunteering, participating in our events,
or simply stopping by to learn more about what we do. Together, we can make a lasting difference.
With unity, service, and commitment, we will move forward—stronger together.
